Our story: three friends from Brasov

Selecta started in Brasov, Romania, in a city most people know for the mountains and the old town. The three of us grew up there together, went through school together and stayed close long after careers pulled us in different directions. We spent years working inside iGaming and customer support, watching how hiring was actually done, and slowly building an opinion on how it should be done instead.

At some point the conversation stopped being a conversation. We wanted something of our own. Something we could put our names on, that our parents and friends back home could point to and feel proud of. Not a faceless agency chasing fees, but a small firm that takes hiring seriously and treats every candidate and client like a person rather than a line in a spreadsheet.

That is still how we work today. Three people from Brasov, deep in the iGaming and customer support niche, doing the kind of careful recruitment we always wished we had on the other side of the table. The company is small on purpose. It keeps us honest, keeps the shortlists tight, and keeps the work close to the values we started with.
